From 6th to 7th of June, I will be attending the Sutainable Foods Summit 2013 in Amsterdam. The summit brings together all kinds of stakeholders from the food industries, e.g. manufacturers, ingredients suppliers, retailers, organisations, researches and people like me.
The summit is part of a series of international summits that focuses on the leading issues concerning sustainability and eco-labels. For example Organic, Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance, UTZ Certified, etc.
This years’s summit is about sustainable food ingredients on the one hand and changing the consumer behaviour on the other. The discussion will be about topics such as the social impact of sourcing, ethical retailer brands, sustainable food cities, water footprints, innovating using ancient grains, sustainable marine ingredients, marketing claims & mislabelling, social media, sustainable purchasing and responsible consumption.
I’m going to keep you updated on the insights.
